She pointed out that his success was not the result of family wealth or industry privilege but came from his own efforts. “Before KGF, Yash delivered five back-to-back hits. So, if he is an ordinary person, a nobody as you claim, then why are you (the person concerned) threatened? He's not a terrorist. There is no need to ask who he was before KGF; he had delivered good films before it. Moreover, he was not born into wealth, unlike a few others. He is the son of a bus driver who rose to the top on his own. As a mother, I am proud of him.” Pushpa further stressed that Yash’s rise did not happen overnight. His years of work in the Kannada film industry had already given him a substantial fan following before KGF turned him into one of the biggest names in Indian cinema.The comments are being linked to remarks made by veteran producer Allu Aravind in 2023, when he questioned Yash’s identity and standing in the industry before the KGF franchise. Aravind also attributed part of the franchise’s success to its enormous scale and production values.
