New Delhi: Lenovo has appointed Kiran Balasubramanian as Head of Communications for India; the role that includes external and internal communications, and analyst relations. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Balasubramanian said he will work with Lenovo's leadership team to communicate the company's Hybrid AI strategy across personal and enterprise AI. "India is one of Lenovo's key markets, not only for revenue growth, but also for driving R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain excellence, and strengthening customer experiences and partnerships," he wrote in the post. Balasubramanian joins Lenovo after serving as Director - Communications, PR and Social Media at DigitalOcean, where his remit covered the global market. He brings more than two decades of experience in corporate communications and technology PR. Before DigitalOcean, Balasubramanian spent around six years with Amazon Web Services (AWS). His earlier career included communications and PR roles at Accenture, Six Degrees PR, and Synergy PR. Shirley Coses Dsilva, who led communications for Lenovo India for four years, recently moved into the role of AP Communications Lead, Commercial. In the expanded mandate, Dsilva is responsible for commercial communications strategy, executive positioning and enterprise technology and Hybrid AI storytelling across Asia Pacific. In his LinkedIn post, Balasubramanian said Lenovo's technology innovation, manufacturing footprint and focus on AI were among the factors that drew him to the role.
